The Calendar view in Smokeball functions as your shared calendar, allowing you to view individual staff calendars or manage group calendars with ease.
If you have connected Smokeball to Outlook, your calendar events will automatically sync between Smokeball and Outlook.Â
Entering Calendar View
From the home screen, select Calendar on the left-hand side of your screen to access the Calendar View.
Create or edit a calendar event
To create a new event, simply double-click on any available time on the calendar. To edit an existing event, double-click the event to open its details.Â
Alternatively, select Event from the Smokeball action bar. Learn more about creating calendar events.
View multiple calendars
You can display events from multiple calendars by using the filter panel on the left. Choose which Group Calendars or Staff Calendars you wish to see by selecting or deselecting the check marks from the filter on the left.
All selected calendars will have their events appear on the main calendar and can be differentiated by the calendar colour.
Change the calendar view
Choose your preferred calendar view using the options in the top-right corner of the calendar. Select Day, Work Week, Week, Month or Timeline to change your default view.
You can also right-click on the calendar and select from the Change View To options.
Create Group calendars
Group calendars are ideal for tracking events involving multiple staff members, such as team meetings or shared room bookings.
Note: Group calendars do not sync to Outlook.
To create a group calendar:
- Select Manage calendars at the bottom-left of Calendar View.
- Select Create a new Calendar at the bottom-left corner of the Manage Calendars window.
- Name your group calendar and assign a colour.
- Select Save.
Print the calendar
Print your calendar by selecting Print on the Smokeball action bar. Choose from Daily View, Weekly View or Monthly View.
You can also print individual appointments:
- Click on an event in the calendar.
- Select Print from the Smokeball action bar.
- Select Appointment.

- Right-clicking unlocks several useful shortcuts in the Calendar View:
- Right-click on the calendar to change the view, jump to a specific date, and more.
- Right-click on an event to add labels, view event history, and access more options.
- Each matter has an Events tab that helps manage previous and upcoming calendar events for individual matters.
Entering Calendar View
Select Calendar on the left-hand side of your screen to access the web app Calendar View.
Create or edit a calendar event
Select New Event to create a new event.
Double-click on an existing event to open the Edit Event window.
