Billing Release June 2018
Below are the new features, refinements, and bug fixes in the Smokeball Billing 2018 Release.
Evergreen Retainer Applied Immediately
Batch Finalize Draft Invoices
- Smokeball Billing now has the ability to batch finalize all draft invoices.
- Simply select the desired matters and click "Finalize."
- Note: Any closed matters will not be able to be batch finalized.
Evergreen Retainer Applied Immediately
- When activating Evergreen Retainer on matters, if any matter is below the minimum limit, the requirement will be applied immediately.
- A warning will appear in the top right of Smokeball Billing and the client will appear under Evergreen Requests.
- To learn more, review Evergreen Retainers.
Delete Transactions
- If an error is made entering any transactions, users have the ability to delete the mistake transaction.
- Continue to use reversals for returned checks or reversed payments; delete is for a transaction which was entered by mistake and you do not want to appear on reporting or invoicing.
- All deleted transactions are available under the "show deleted transactions" filter in Matters> Transactions or Accounts>Transactions at any time.
Changes to Login Page
- You can now check "This is a private computer" to load your data faster in future logins.
- Smokeball's Billing feature is being rebranded as Smokeball Billing, and over the next releases, you may notice a few changes.
- Once Smokeball Version 5.2 is released, you'll notice the button change as well.
