New Report in the Smokeball Web App - Billed Fees & Cost Recoveries - Summary

This report gives firms a snapshot of the Billed Fees & Cost Recoveries - Details report in a more digestible and printable format.

Columns in this reportReport Filters

  1. The Run By option is selected if Subtotal filter = None

    • Matter Type

    • Area of Law

    • Timekeeper (Full Name - [First Name] [Last Name])

    • Person Responsible (Full Name - [First Name] [Last Name])

    • Client (Follow Standard Naming Conventions)

    • Referrer

    • Matter

  2. If Subtotal = value other than none, column will equal the Subtotal value selected

    • Matter Type

    • Area of Law

    • Person Responsible

    • Timekeeper

    • Client (Follow Standard Naming Conventions)

    • Referrer

    • Matter

  3. Cost Recoveries Billed

  4. Cost Recoveries % (If Show Percentage = Yes)

  5. Hours Billed

    1. 0.00 format - Round to nearest hundredth

    1. Options:

      • None (Default)

    2. Sorts A-Z within the grouping based on this selection

    3. Has subtotals of Run By filter selection if value of this filter does not = None

  4. Branch

  5. Show Percentage?

    • Yes

      • Creates new columns called Percentage

      • If Subtotal = No, shows percentage of each line item of total billed

        • Total percentages shown in each column will equal 100%

      • If Subtotal = Yes, bases percentage on grouping

        • Each grouping will add up to 100%

    • No (Default)

Notes:

  • Discounts are applied to fees billed only
  • Write-offs are not included
  • Non-billable entries are not included
  • Surcharges and Interest are not included
  • The subtotal filter (other than <None>) reflects the percentage of the group, not the total for the report

New Report in the Smokeball Web App - Matters by Billing Type

This report shows all matters opened within the time frame selected, sorted by oldest account opened first.
