You can save, edit, and combine Archie prompts you have written for easy re-use. Each prompt you write for Archie can also be stored and retrieved from the TemplateLab Library, and you will have access to prompts written by Smokeball in addition to your custom prompts.
To access the Archie prompt library, select the book icon in the message box that appears at the bottom of your matter's Archie tab.Â
Clicking on the gear icon will bring up the prompt library's settings and provide a comprehensive list of your prompts. You can select the blue Create Prompt button to create a new prompt.Â
Selecting the three vertical dots next to a prompt will allow you to open, duplicate, or delete a prompt.Â
Save an Archie promptÂ
- Navigate to the Archie tab in your matter.
- Select a prompt you previously used in the left panel.
- Select the book icon and then select Create in the pop-up window.
You will be presented with multiple options for editing the prompt:

- Click the pencil icon next to these fields in the upper left to edit the prompt name, associated matter type(s), and description.
- Toggle between the edit view and test view.
- Designate the prompt as private, public, or published.Â
- Add and/or re-order prompt actions as needed. You can also use the toggle to make sure a document is selected to run the prompt.
- Use the fields in the center of the screen to modify the selected prompt action from Step 4.
The prompt will then be available in the library. Click on the pencil icon to edit the prompt or the play icon to run it.Â

Use an Archie prompt created by Smokeball
Several pre-configured Archie prompts exist to help you get started. These prompts are indicated by a Smokeball tag in the Prompt Library along with your personal and firm prompts.

Save a prompt to the TemplateLab Library
You can also save an Archie prompt to the TemplateLab Library:Â
- Select the Forms & Templates button from within your matter.
- Select a destination folder in the Form Library pop-up window and then select Add a form/letter.
- Select the Archie Prompt tab.Â
- Use the dropdown menus to pick the prompt you wish to save to the TemplateLab Library. You can also give the prompt a unique name for the TemplateLab Library.
- Select Create.
- The prompt will now be saved to the TemplateLab Library and denoted by an orange Archie icon.
- Double-click on the prompt to launch it.Â
