Getting Started with the Smokeball Community

Smokeball Community is a space to ask questions, share ideas, and connect with other legal professionals using Smokeball. Members of the Smokeball Team will moderate the forum, post updates, guidance, and much more.

How to Sign Up

Smokeball users are welcome to join at any time by going to the "COMMUNITY" tab in the Smokeball desktop app.

Once you have completed the required information and have accepted the terms and conditions, click "Save" to continue.

Accessing the Community outside of Smokeball (optional)

You can access the Smokeball Community without needing to open Smokeball by creating a password for your community account.

To do this:

1. Sign up to the Community.
2. Open the Update Password page in your internet browser.
3. Enter the email address you use to log into Smokeball.
4. Enter a password - this does not have to be your Smokeball password.
5. An email will be sent to your email address asking for confirmation to create a password. Follow the prompts in the email to complete your registration.

Now you can log into the Smokeball Community using the web browser of your choice.

Getting Started

Set up your profile by clicking on the avatar in the top-right of your screen (most likely will show your initials) and selecting "My profile".

You can then click on "EDIT PROFILE" to share information about yourself with the Community including pronouns, a forum signature, and a friendly profile picture!

Once done, navigate to the homepage by either clicking "Home" in the top left or on the Smokeball Community logo.

You are now ready to explore the Smokeball Community. Here is some helpful information to get you started:

1. 1. We recommended clicking on "Start here". Here you will find articles explaining several Community features in more detail including what the Community is and how to earn badges, ranks, and rewards.
   2. Click on the "START A CONVERSATION" button to create a new topic in Community.
   3. You can also click the "ASK A QUESTION" button to create a new topic.
      • Note: Please ensure that you have the appropriate topic type selected.
        
        
   4. You may also use the search box to locate an existing conversation or question shared by you or other Community users.
