Create a File Note for a matter
File Notes (or Attendance Notes) can now be easily created from your matter screen.
Create a File Note by selecting the New Document button in the Matter Action Bar. File Notes will open in Word.
A default template is provided upon opening a new File Note. You can replace this template with your own by navigating to Smokeball Settings > Document Containers in the desktop app, and modifying the File Note container.
Upon saving the File Note, it can be accessed from the All Files section at the bottom panel of the matter.
Record Time Worked
In a Time/Fee entry, you can now record the time worked on a task separately to the time you are billing the client for it. This allows your firm to accurately identify total time worked and amount of time write downs.

When modifying or editing a Precedent, you can now choose to add an Intake Form link.Â
