What are Archie Suggestions?
Archie Suggestions are recommended next steps based on the activity and content in your matter. Archie reviews items such as documents, emails, tasks, and deadlines, then presents relevant actions as clickable tiles that you can review and choose to run.
Where to find Archie Suggestions
Suggestions are available in three places:
Matter Widget
- Open a matter.
- Locate the Archie panel on the right-hand sidebar. It is recommended to right-click Archie at the top of the sidebar and select Set as Default.
- Review the available suggestion tiles.
Archie Tab
- Select the Archie tab at the top of the matter.
- Suggestions appear below the chat interface.
Archie Word Add-in
- Open a document connected to a matter.
- Ensure the Smokeball Archie Word Add-In is added and active.
- Archie displays suggestions based on the document content.
How to use a suggestion
- Review the suggestion tile. Check the recommended action, the reasoning behind it, and any relevant files or content included.
- Run the suggestion. Select the tile to generate the draft, task, event, or output. If the suggestion includes an Archie app, selecting the tile takes you directly to the app. For all other suggestions, selecting the tile opens a new Archie chat with the suggestion sent as a prompt automatically.
- Review and confirm. Review the generated result, then choose to save, send, or create it. Dismiss it if it is not needed.
Types of suggestions
Archie Suggestions generally fall into the following categories.
- Create a task: This generates a task with suggested details that you can edit before saving.
- Create a calendar event: This creates a calendar entry based on matter activity or deadlines.
- Create a memo: This drafts a memo using relevant matter information.
- Draft an email: This prepares an email based on matter context.
- Prompt suggestions: This provides a pre-written prompt you can run without typing.
- App recommendations: This suggests an Archie App relevant to the matter content.
Good to know
- Suggestions are not executed automatically. You must review and confirm before anything is created, saved, or sent.
- You can dismiss any suggestion that is not relevant.
