The Personal Injury Settlement dashboard in Firm Insights provides you with analytical data for your settlements in Personal Injury - Plaintiff and Motor Vehicle Accident - Plaintiff matter types.
This dashboard will report on all closed Personal Injury - Plaintiff and Motor Vehicle Accident - Plaintiff matters within that were closed within the date range you specify. You can also filter the dashboard by the attorney responsible.
Note: This dashboard is not configured to provide an analysis for Personal Injury - Defendant and Motor Vehicle Accident - Defendant matter types at this time.
Understanding the dashboard
The analysis provides the following data points:
The total number of clients (Plaintiffs) on all closed matters within the specified date range that have a settlement amount entered on the Settlement Statement tool.
The total of all settlement amounts entered on relevant matters.
The total of all attorney's fees amounts entered on relevant matters minus the referral agreement fee entered on the Matter Info layout calculated as follows:
If "Referral Agreement Fee" dropdown is set to "%", then
Total = Attorneys' Fees * ((100-Referral Agreement Fee)/100)
If the Referral Agreement fee, is set to "Flat fee" the formula is Total = Attorneys' Fees - Referral Agreement Fee.
The total of all costs entered on relevant matters with a settlement amount entered.
The total of all costs entered on relevant matters without a settlement amount entered.
The total of all Medicals entered on relevant matters.
The total number of days all relevant matters were open divided by the total number of all clients across all relevant matters.
The total settlement amounts entered across all relevant matters divided by the total number of clients across all relevant matters.
The total proceeds divided by the total number of all clients across all relevant matters.
The total costs (recovered and lost) divided by the total number of all clients across all relevant matters.
The total medicals divided by the total number of clients across all relevant matters.
The dashboard will also generate the following tables:
Settlement Per Referrer: A table of data from all relevant matters broken down by Referrer entered on the Matter Info layout.
Settlement per Attorney Responsible: A table of data from all relevant matters broken down by the Attorney Responsible assigned to the matter.
All Closed Clients: Table of all clients and relevant matter data comprising the data on the dashboard.
