CaseMark is a legal AI tool that helps your firm create secure depositions, trial and hearing summaries, responses to discovery requests, medical narratives, and summaries for police reports and tax returns. CaseMark also directly syncs with Smokeball to ensure that you do not have to repeatedly download and upload files. This article will explain how to use CaseMark to empower your Archie workflows.Â

There are several reasons why you should use CaseMark and Archie together:

Access Archie apps
- Open a matter in Smokeball.Â
- Select the Archie tab and then select Apps.
Scroll down to the Explore Apps section. You will be presented with numerous CaseMark Archie apps:Â
- Daily Arbitration Summary: Concise summary of daily arbitration proceedings with key arguments and decisions Â
- Daily Trial Summary: Daily trial transcript summaries with key testimonies and legal arguments highlighted
- Exhibit List: List of exhibits with navigable links to any corresponding testimonies
- Full Arbitration Summary: Overview of arbitration proceedings with key points, motions, and outcomes
- Full Trial Summary: Summary of full trial proceedings with opening statements, witness testimonies, jury instructions, verdicts, and post-trial motions
- Hearing Summary:Â Overviews of hearings with essential arguments, presented evidence, and judicial opinions for post-hearing evaluations
- Medical Chronology: Organized timelines of a patient's medical history with key dates, treatments, and diagnoses
- Medical Narrative: Build a narrative of a patient's medical history
- Narrative Deposition Summary: Convert deposition transcripts into narrative summaries
- Page-Line Deposition Summary: Page-line deposition summaries that can be easily referenced by specific segments
- Plaintiff Personal Injury Deposition Summary: Summaries focused on plaintiff depositions in personal injury cases with an emphasis on critical statements and factual details
You can also use the quick search feature to narrow your results.Â
Click on a CaseMark tile to open a new app for your matter and then select the blue Create button to run it. You also have the option of re-naming the app before selecting Create.
If you are running a CaseMark Archie app for the first time, you will need to authorize CaseMark to access your Smokeball files. Select Connect Now and enter your Smokeball credentials in the pop-up window.Â
Click on the Choose documents field and select the file you need summarized from the pop-up window.Â
Select Start Workflow. Note: The price of the summary will be indicated. Click here to learn more about CaseMark's pricing.Â
You will then be notified that the document is processing. You do not have to remain on this screen while you wait for processing and can leave by clicking the grey x in the upper right corner.Â
Once the document has finished processing, it can be accessed in the My Apps section of Archie. You can click on the three dot icon to open, rename, or delete an app.Â
Click on an app or select Open from the three dot icon menu to review the summary. You have the option to download the summary to your computer as a Word document or PDF. In addition, the processed document will automatically save to the matter.Â
