Sample Decedents Estate Workflow

  1. Enter Date of Death (no due date)
  2. File original Will with the clerk (30 days after date of death/1 due)
  3. Present the Will for Probate: decline to act or show cause (on matter opening)
  4. 14 day Notices to all Interested Parties and Publish Notice (14 days before notice to heirs)
  5. 3 month Claims Period ends (3 months after publication of notice date)
  6. 6 month Probate Claims Period ends (6 months after publication of notice date)
  7. 6 month Will Contest Period (6 month after 3/preset will for probate)
  8. File the Decedent's Final Income Tax Return (no due date/ details should say due 4/15 of the following year of death and to enter at the beginning)
  9. 9 month from Date of Death (9 months after 1/date of death)
  10. 15 months from Date of Death (15 months after 1/date of death)
  11. 2 years from Date of Death (2 years after 1/date of death)
