This month, we have released some large updates to the Smokeball Web App. Read on to learn more.
New features
Smokeball Web App release
If you are on Smokeball Grow or Prosper+, the Smokeball Billing Web App has now been expanded with many of the productivity features available on the Smokeball desktop app:
- Access your firm calendar and create events
- Create and track tasks
- Upload and manage documents
- Create memos
- View Communicate Client Portal messages
- Manage lead and matter intake forms
This Web App is available on any device that can open a web browser (PC, Mac, mobile, tablet).
Updated user interface
The user interface of the Smokeball Web App has been updated to look more modern and streamlined.
A New URL to access the Web App
The link to access the Smokeball Web App on a web browser has been changed. You will automatically be redirected to app.smokeball.com.au. If this is the first time you are accessing this link, you will be prompted to enter your Smokeball login details.
Communicate has been renamed
Communicate messages are now accessed from the Messages section in the Web App.
User-specific restricted access to Billing features
Users without Billing access permissions can now log into the Web App to access its productivity features (Matters, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Messages). They will not see any Billing features (Time/Fees, Invoices, Accounts, Reports).

New report - Money Received
You can now run a report for money received in a specified date range.
The report contains the following filters:
- Payment Date From and Payment Date To
- Trust Account name
- Source (Cash, Bank Transfer, Credit Card, Cheque, Trust Account/s)
- Group By Trust Account, Source, Matter Type, Client, Received From
