This article will show you how to:
- Create an Estate Disputes General matter

To create a new Estate Disputes General matter, follow the steps below.
- Click New Matter from the Home Screen.
- Select State: NSW, SA, QLD, VIC.
- Select Category: Estate Disputes.
- Select Matter Type: Estate Disputes General.
- Select which party you are acting for (Executor, Beneficiary, Other Party):
- Enter the party details - see Adding Contacts for more information on adding contacts.
- Select 'Will Details' to enter Will, Codicil and Testator other name details:
- To add Uncommon Contacts to your matter, open the Matter Settings and select the appropriate contact from the Parties & Data available in your matter.
For Estate Disputes General, the available parties and data include Case Details, Mediator, Barrister, Accountant, Valuer, Previous Solicitor and Additional Contacts:
Change existing General matter to Estate Disputes General
Existing General matters can be easily changed to Estate Disputes General as follows:
- Open your existing General matter (used for estate disputes)
- Open Matter Type
- Select change...
- Select new Matter Type as Estate Disputes > Estate Disputes General
- Select OK:
- Select which Party you are acting for (Executor, Beneficiary, Other Party)
- Enter Reason For Change
- Select OK:
Your matter will now appear as 'Estate Disputes General', with the party roles and layouts that are available in the Estate Disputes General matter:
