Agency and Court Form Template Overview

Smokeball's TemplateLab Technicians can help you automate Agency and Court Form Templates in addition to your custom templates. As with custom templates, we rely on your familiarity with the agency and court form(s) you submit to ensure the automated template remains useful and up-to-date. Smokeball currently hosts more than 20,000 templates, and our TemplateLab Technician relies upon your input to know when a specific Agency and Court Form Template in your jurisdiction is updated. 

You should also keep the following parameters in mind when submitting a Agency and Court Form Template request:

1. Smokeball does not draft, publish, or edit Agency and Court Form Templates, as any changes the TemplateLab Team makes to a template would risk it being rejected by the court upon filing. The Legal Configuration Team also will not correct typos or mistakes in these templates. The Legal Configuration Team will not alter these templates beyond adding automation capabilities or arithmetic functions (if appropriate).
2. The TemplateLab Team will only add agency and court form templates which are publicly available. Note: Any templates which are behind a paywall or require a subscription cannot be added to the TemplateLab Library for all other firms to access; however, it can be added to your personal library upon request. 
3. Agency and court form templates which are made available as a PDF will be added to the Smokeball TemplateLab Library as a PDF; likewise templates in the Microsoft Word format will be added as Word files.
4. If a template is useful to more than one matter type, the TemplateLab team will account for this when automating it if it is possible to do so.
5. All Smokeball users subscribed to the same form suite can access and use the suite's templates. This means that templates in the Court & Authority section of the TemplateLab Library cannot be customized. 
6. Smokeball may already have the agency and court form template you are seeking. Before you submit a request, search the library by entering:
   • The exact form number
   • The exact form name

If you are unable to find the agency and court form template you are seeking, include the following information when submitting your request:

1. Link to the form authority site or sites
2. Form name(s) and number(s)
3. A list of the forms, in groups of 10, ordered by their importance to you. 
   • You can request as many agency and court form templates as you need, but we will only add them in batches of 10 at a time and on a rolling basis.
4. The matter types the templates can be used in. 

Submit an agency and court form template request

1. While in your matter select the Forms & Templates button.
2. Select Request a form.
3. Fill in all the fields (Form Name, Form Number, Form Provider, Link to Form, Matter Type(s), and any additional notes.
4. Select Send.
