Set up separate Stripe accounts for your operating and trust account

Available on Smokeball Bill, Boost and the Grow and Prosper+ Web App

You can integrate Stripe payments with both your firm's operating account and trust account by setting them up separately. This will ensure that individual Stripe accounts are used for their respective operating or trust accounts.

Before you begin

  • Ensure you have entered your Trust Account details in Firm Settings.
  • Ensure you have entered your Operating Bank Account details in Firm Settings.

Connect your accounts to Stripe

To connect your accounts:

  1. Select the Settings icon, then select Firm Settings.

  2. Select Payment Provider from the left menu.
  3. Under Linked Account Setup, select Connect with Stripe. This appears for accounts that must be set up for the first time.
  4. Follow the prompts to connect your account.
  5. Repeat the above steps for the other accounts that require setting up. Note that separate Stripe accounts with separate email addresses must be created for each account you wish to connect.
