There may be instances where you need to cancel or undo a trust reconciliation in Smokeball - our Support Team can assist with this.
Important Note
Once the trust reconciliation is cancelled, there will be no record of it in Smokeball.
Step 1. Determine if cancelling a reconciliation is needed
We need to understand why you're cancelling the trust reconciliation. If you need help, submit a training request so our Trainers can assist you in working out the best solution.
Step 2. Download a copy of the reconciliation
To proceed with the cancellation, we will require a copy of the reconciliation/s you wish to cancel. This helps us verify the information and ensures that the cancellation process is accurate.
To download the reconciliation:
- Navigate to Accounts from the left panel in the Smokeball Web App.
- Select Bank Reconciliation and select the trust account from the list (if there are multiple).
- Click on the reconciliation you wish to cancel, and select the download icon from the PDF preview.
Step 3. Contact our Support Team
Once you have the reconciliation, contact our support team to initiate the cancellation process. Please provide us with details about your request, including the reason for cancellation and a copy of the reconciliation/s.
Our team will handle the rest, ensuring all necessary checks are performed before proceeding. We'll keep you updated throughout the process and notify you once the cancellation is complete.
