It is possible to delete a document or email from any matter by right-clicking on the item. However, nothing is ever permanently deleted. In a matter of a few clicks, you can restore it to your matter.
Important Note
Documents and email files that are deleted in Smokeball cannot be permanently removed. You can restore deleted them at any time.
Smokeball Desktop App
Delete a document or email
Right-click any document or email listed in the Files section of a matter and select delete.
Restore a deleted document or email
- Right-click anywhere in the Files section and select Show deleted items.
- Locate the deleted item, right-click, and select Restore.
Smokeball Web App
It is possible to delete a document or email from any matter.
Note: A document or email deleted on the web app cannot be restored.
Delete a document
- Navigate to the Documents section of your matter.
- Click on the three horizontal documents and select Delete.
