NSW - Transfer of Land

This article will show you how to:


To create a new Transfer matter, follow the steps below:

  1. Click New Matter from the Home Screen
  2. Select State: NSW
  3. Select Matter Category: Conveyancing 
  4. Select Matter Type: Transfer
  5. Select which party you are acting for (Transferor or Transferee):

  6. Enter the parties, including all relevant details.
  7. Select 'Property Details' to enter the Address, Property Details and Title Particulars. Click on the tab Transfer and Tenancy Details to insert the Transferred Status, Service Address and Tenancy Details.

  8. Select Transfer Details to input the Consideration, Market Value and Duty payable and applicable fees. The Transfer Duty will automatically be calculated once the Consideration and Market Value has been input. You can use this page to apply any concessions or grants if applicable.

  9. Select Settlement Financials and input relevant adjustments by clicking on the title and description of the adjustment and inputting the relevant details. For further information on how to complete Settlement Financials, click on the Quick Guide on the bottom left hand of the Settlement Financials screen.
  10. Review and complete the payment directions by clicking on the Payment tab. Stamp Duty and Registration Fees will prepopulate based on information already entered under Amounts Required to Settle. These amounts may be adjusted and deleted as required. For further information on how to complete Settlement Financials, click on the Quick Guide on the bottom left hand of the Settlement Financials screen.
  11. To add Uncommon Contacts to your matter, open the Matter Settings and select the appropriate contact from the Parties & Data available for your matter.
