Organise and Filter Matters

Make your matters easier to find by customising your matter view and filters.

Customise and sort column headers

Right click anywhere in the headings row to select or unselect required columns to be displayed on the matters tab.

Sort your matters by Matter Number, Client, Matter Type and more in ascending or descending order by clicking on the appropriate heading.

Drop and drop to rearrange your column order, or us the arrows to resize column widths.

Filter by Area of Law or Matter Type

On the left-hand side of the Matters View window, you will see filters for Leads and Matters by Area of Law or Matter Type. These filters can be used to narrow down your list of leads or matters to only show those in a specific category or matter type.

Note: These filters are dynamic and only display lead or matter types that have been opened by your firm, so you only see a list that is relevant to your firm.

Filter matters by staff, jurisdiction or status

Use the Show filters on the right-hand side to further filter your matters view. These filters include:

  • Status: Filter by matter status - All, Open, Pending, Closed, Deleted or Cancelled.
  • Country: Filter by location or jurisdiction - All, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, or Wales.
  • Matter Fee Earner: Filter by the Matter Fee Earner assigned to the matter. Select 'Show Former' to include former staff.
  • Staff: Filter by staff members tagged to the matter. Select 'Show Former' to include former staff.
  • Tags: Filter by any of your custom Matter Tags, or Select All to filter all tagged matters.
  • Stage: Filter by current Matter Stage.
  • Opened After: Select a date to view only matters opened after that date.
