Follow these steps to change the type of an existing Matter in Smokeball:
- Click on the Matter Type field under Matter Details.
- Select the blue change... link.
- Select the new matter type and then select OK.
- Enter a Reason For Change and then select OK.
Important Notes
- Changing a matter type may cause information from certain layouts under Matter Details, such as Case Details or Property Details, to disappear. This is due to the fact that these layouts may differ from matter type to matter type. However, contact information on the Matter will be saved even if the matter type is changed.
- You can only change to other existing Matter types.Â
