If your firm prefers to customize invoice titles and subtitles, you can also use placeholders which will automatically pull information from the matter by utilizing the Custom text option under the PDF Invoice tab in Firm Settings.
Follow these steps;
- Navigate to Firm Settings, select Invoice Settings, and then select the PDF Invoice tab.
- Scroll down to Invoice Title and Invoice Subtitle.
- Select the Custom text option.
- Use the dropdown menu to choose placeholders and select Insert. Scroll down and select Save to finalize your changes.
The placeholder will then appear on invoices using the template you edited. The example below shows an invoice title which displays the client's name and the matter's internal reference number:
