Beta feature
The LAWCLERK integration is currently in beta testing.
LAWCLERK is an online platform for hiring part-time or full-time remote associate attorneys. LAWCLERK integrates with Smokeball to ensure that your firm can quickly hire the attorneys you need to generate more billable hours and make more money.
Benefits of using LAWCLERK include:
- Hiring attorneys directly from your matters.
- Freelance hours and expenses are automatically tracked within your Smokeball matter.
- Sharing case and details documents with freelance attorneys from within your Smokeball matter.
Set up LAWCLERK
- Select the Hire Lawyer tab from the global view of Smokeball or from within an individual matter.
- Select the Start Hiring button and then select I Want to Hire to create your free LAWCLERK account.

- Verify your contact information and practice area to finish creating your account.
- You can use the LAWCLERK menu for navigation.
