Getting Started with email containers

Learn how to customise your email containers.

Email containers are pre-written templates that provide a standard structure for your emails so that staff members in your firm can send emails to clients and other parties that follow a consistent look.

Just like letter containers, you can:

  1. Create a structure for your Dear line and sign-off for your emails and;
  2. Link them to precedents that are to be sent as emails.

Create an email container

To create email containers for your firm, refer to the Create an email container article.

Create a blank email template

You can use your email container to create a blank email template to then be edited and sent to clients and other parties.

Set a precedent to use an email container

You can create a Precedent and combine it with an email container to be able to send an email including any matter details for a specific matter.

Link an email container to a precedent

To set an email container as the "default" document container for precedent, learn how to assign an email container to an existing precedent.
