FamilyProperty Deep Integration

Work seamlessly between Smokeball and FamilyProperty with the Smokeball x FamilyProperty Integration.

This new integration allows you to:

  • Send the FamilyProperty Questionnaire to clients from within Smokeball
  • Sync important information captured in FamilyProperty or Smokeball between both systems
  • Work on your FamilyProperty Balance Sheet or Parenting Calendar without leaving Smokeball
  • Track time spent working in FamilyProperty
  • Automatically save documents created in FamilyProperty back to Smokeball


Getting started with the FamilyProperty Questionnaire

Sending the questionnaire via the Client Portal or email

When creating a new Family lead in Smokeball, you can select a FamilyProperty Intake Form to send to the lead via Client Portal or email. You can choose to send forms that include or exclude the Current Situation (i.e. Where you're at, Proceedings/orders, Family violence and How you're coping).

Note: It might take some time for the FamilyProperty Forms to load.

If you choose to send the Questionnaire via email, your Outlook app will open after you create the lead, allowing you to send the email to the client.

To send a reminder email to the client:

  1. Open the lead file and select the Intake tab.
  2. Select the three dots next to the form, and click Send.
  3. Choose whether to send the reminder via the Client Portal or email, then edit the message if needed.
  4. Select Send.

Once the client has completed the questionnaire, a PDF copy of it will appear in your documents list.

Completing the questionnaire with or on behalf of the client

If you wish to complete the questionnaire with or on behalf of your client, create a new lead and leave the Intake Form drop-down menu blank. Then, select Create and Open

To access the questionnaire in the lead, select the Intake tab. It may take some time to load the questionnaire in the forms list - if it's not loading, close and reopen the lead window. 

Click on the form to begin completing it in a new window.

Once you are ready to convert the lead to a matter, select Convert to Matter on the lead file and follow the prompts to choose your Family Matter Type.

Working on your FamilyProperty Parenting Calendar or Balance Sheet in Smokeball

You can access the FamilyProperty Parenting Calendar and Balance Sheet from your Family Lead or Children and Property Matter.

  • If you are in a Children Matter in Smokeball, you will only be able to access the FamilyProperty Parenting Calendar from the Matter.
  • If you are in a Property Matter in Smokeball, you will only be able to access the FamilyProperty Balance Sheet from the Matter.

Tracking time spent in the FamilyProperty Parenting Calendar and Balance Sheet

Any time spent working in the FamilyProperty Parenting Calendar or Balance Sheet will be automatically tracked in Smokeball on the Activity tab.

Automatically save documents created in FamilyProperty back to Smokeball

Any documents that are created from the ‘Smart Forms’ button will automatically save back to your Smokeball Matter, in the Documents section.
