Attend training sessions
Your onboarding specialist may have already set you up with training sessions. If they have not, we encourage you to book one.Â
A complete list of the types of trainings offered:
Basics: We offer a Live Basics Training Webinar where we teach you how to navigate the home screen, how to input a new matter, how Word and Outlook integrate with Smokeball, and how to generate documents using Smokeball. You will have the opportunity to ask questions at this webinar.
Essentials: The next training covers how Smokeball tracks your activity, how to input time and expenses, how to input tasks, how to create workflows, and how to use our Communicate app. You will have the opportunity to ask questions on this webinar as well.
Billing: We offer a Billing Introduction that shows users how to set up invoices, take a payment, deposit into trust, and send an invoice to a client. For more advanced questions, we recommend you take a Billing Q&A where you can meet with a billing specialist one-on-one to discuss things like trust accounting, reconciliation, bulk actions, and more.Â
Automation: Smokeball will automate a set of documents for you in batches. However, we highly recommend someone in your firm takes this training to learn some basics for minor edits and the creation of basic templates.Â
General Q&As and Billing Q&A: Once you go complete your Basics, Essentials, and Billing trainings, you are ready for personalized general Q&As and billing Q&As. Book the appropriate session type to get matched up with the right trainer anytime you have a list of questions.Â
Submit tickets
Support Request: If Smokeball isn’t working as it should, we first recommend trying to close and re-open it first. If the issue persists, then do not hesitate to reach out to the Smokeball Help Desk. Submit a support ticket, and our team will be in touch with you. You can request a call back at a specific date/time. If possible, include a screenshot as an attachment and be as specific as possible.Â

Training Request: Have a question about Smokeball functionality? Submit a ticket to the training team. They will get back to you shortly with a response or set up a training session if your question is more involved. You can submit a ticket or email us.
