This month, we have released some new features and refinements to Smokeball Boost. Read on to learn more.
New features
New Client Billing Communication Preferences
You can now track all Billing emails sent to the client from the Smokeball Web App. A new Client Communications tab can be accessed from the Transactions tab in the matter.
The list of communications tracked includes Invoices, Invoice Reminders, and Credit Card Trust Deposit Requests.
Clicking on an email item in the Client Communications list displays the corresponding email content sent to your client.
Mark an invoice as sent
If you sent an invoice to your client by post or delivered it in person, you can now manually mark it as sent to keep track of its status in Smokeball.
Refinements
Improvements to the Unbilled Time & Disbursements - Details Report
Based on feedback received on the new Unbilled Time & Disbursements - Details Report, we have implemented the following:
- Added a filter for "Include Non-Billable" that controls the inclusion of non-billable entries. The available options should be:
- True
- False
- Default Value
- Added a new dropdown option in the Included Columns filter:
- Person Assisting
- When selected, display person assisting columns
- Default: unselected

Updated the label “Internal Reference" to "Matter Number" in the Included Columns filter dropdown list.
