Learn how to set up Single Sign-On (SSO) for your firm as an option when logging into Smokeball.
Before you begin
If your firm uses the Xero Integration, ensure all Smokeball users have set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). This is a requirement in order for our team to enable SSO for your firm.Â
The following steps may need to be completed by your IT team. We recommend forwarding this article to the appropriate person in your firm who can help set up SSO.
Smokeball uses Microsoft Entra (formerly known as Azure Active Directory/Azure AD) to manage SSO setup. This allows your team to log in securely using your firm's Microsoft credentials.
1. Navigate to the Microsoft Entra Gallery and select + Create your own application.
Â
2. Enter your application name and select Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery).
Â
3. Select Set up single sign on under Getting Started.
Â
4. Select SAML as the single sign-on method.
Â
5. Select Edit and enter the following information under the required fields:
Identifier (EntityID)
urn:amazon:cognito:sp:ap-southeast-2_1olbTag5i
Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL)
https://auth.smokeball.com.au/saml2/idpresponse
Â
6. (Optional) Select + Add a group claim.Â
Â
7. Copy all Claim names and Values and provide these in a ticket to our Support Team.
- If your firm uses the Xero Integration, please add a note in the ticket confirming that Two Factor Authentication (2FA) setup has been completed by all Smokeball users in the firm.
Â
8. Copy the App Federation Metadata Url and also add this to your Support ticket.
