Remove a client's access to a file shared on the Communicate Client Portal

This feature is currently undergoing beta testing.

If necessary, you can remove a client's ability to view a shared Communicate Client Portal file. Follow these steps:

  1. Right-click on the document in your matter which needs to be restricted.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Select the Access tag. 
  4. Select the blue Remove Access link.
  5. Review the pop-up warning message and select the Remove Access button. Note: The warning pop-up will let you know if multiple participants are affected. 

You can confirm that client access has been removed if the Properties tab says "This document is only accessible within Smokeball."
