Here are some examples of some matter tags to implement in your firm:
Status or critical information
- Will drafted
- Docs out for review
- Drafts complete
- Signing scheduled
Marital Status
- Single
- Married
Types of Trusts
- Revocable Living Trust
- Joint Trust
- Land Trust
- Special Needs Trusts
Multiple Properties
- Pets (this is an example on a non-common item so if you need to look up a case you had with pets 3 years ago, you can easily find it)
- Value of the Estate (over a million, less than 2 million for example)
Once you assign a tag to a matter, they will appear at the top of the matter.
How to Assign and or Edit Matter Tags
1. Within your open matter, click the + at the top right of the screen. Add (1) Staff Tags or (2) Custom Tags.
2. Click outside the tag box to close it. To add an additional tag within your open matter Edit Tags and add additional default options.
