Created a lead that hasn't been converted to a matter? Learn how you can close a lead in Smokeball.
- Open the lead, then double-click on Info under Lead Details.
- In the Lead tab, choose Closed from the Status drop-down menu.
- Optional: Enter a reason for closing the lead using the Lead closed reason dropdown menu.
- Optional: Enter a reason for closing the lead using the Lead closed reason dropdown menu.
- Select OK.
Did you know
If you convert a lead into a matter, Smokeball will describe the Status in the Lead info window as "Closed - Won" in the Lead - Full List report.
It is also possible to close a lead by selecting the Open button in the lead header and choosing Closed from the drop-down menu.
If you cancel a lead, it will show as Closed in Lead Insights. If you delete a lead, it will not show as closed. You can use this feature as a way to handle spam leads.

- Under Lead Details, select Closed from the Lead Status drop-down menu.
- Select a reason from closing the lead from the Lead Closed Reason drop-down menu.
- Select Save Lead.
