Change default browser to Google Chrome

If you will extensively utilize the Smokeball web app, we strongly recommend changing your default internet browser to Google Chrome. The Smokeball web app is only compatible with Google Chrome. We also found that InfoTrack integration works better when using Google Chrome.

Note: The screenshots in this article depict setup for Windows 11. 

First, download Google Chrome. Once it is installed, here are some simple steps to change your default browser to Google Chrome:

1. On your computer, select the Start menu icon.
2. Type "Settings" in the Search bar and then click Settings.
3. Select Apps and then select Default apps:
   Older Windows version: Click System > Default apps
   
4. Select Google Chrome.
5. Select the Set default button next to Make Google Chrome your default browser.

Add a shortcut to your taskbar:

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. In the Windows taskbar at the bottom, right-click on Chrome.
3. Click Pin to taskbar.
