This guide will provide the necessary changes to your antivirus settings should you be experiencing issues that include any of the following:
- Unable to update Smokeball to the newest versionÂ
- Unable to open Smokeball after updating or installing
- Smokeball Outlook and/or Word add-ins failing to start or function after updating or installing
- Error code AV001

Resolution
To resolve any of the above issues, you will need to add Smokeball as an exception to the affected computer's antivirus software.
- If needed, refer to your antivirus software’s help documentation on adding exceptions.Â
- If applicable, refer this article to your IT administrator or IT team if your firm's antivirus software is managed by them.
Ensure that the following folder/file paths have been added as an exception.
