The Notification Centre in the Smokeball desktop app keeps you informed of actions happening in your firm throughout the day. Notifications alert you to specific items with direct links to assigned matters, tasks, workflows, events, or phone messages.
The Notification Centre can be accessed from Version 8.12 onwards.
You can view notifications by selecting the bell icon in the upper right of Smokeball and selecting Notifications. Unread notifications are denoted by a red circle icon.
Every notification features:
- A message indicating its type
- A hyperlink description of the item you are being notified about
- A hyperlink to the matter
You can click on the notification to open it or the hyperlinks to navigate to the related task/matter/etc.
Currently, the Notification Centre will send a prompt when the following areas of Smokeball are updated:
- Tasks (individual and workflows) - Workflow tasks are grouped into the same notification.
- Events
- Phone Messages
- Roles
- Intake Forms
Clicking on the notification will take you directly to the area of Smokeball where the notification originated. You can also click on the matter name to open the matter window.
Unread notifications will show as a raised box:
Read notifications will show as a flat box:
Reminders
Reminders share the bell icon with notifications and selecting a Reminder will open its pop-up window.
Clicking on Reminders opens the existing Reminders window.
