Troubleshoot Check Printiing

Available on Smokeball Bill, Boost and the Grow and Prosper+ Web App

If you experience difficulties with printing checks, you should first verify that you are using appropriate printer settings.

Each printer uses a unique driver that is installed by your operating system (Windows). Consequently, a computer running on Windows 10 with a Canon printer may present a different graphical look when attempting to print a document than a computer running on Windows 11 with that same printer.

To determine the best settings for your operating system/printer combination, follow these steps:

  1. Make several copies of a blank check
  2. Reprint an old check to test alignment
    • You can reprint an old check from the web app by navigating to Accounts > Trust Checks, selecting the three dot icon, and then selecting Reprint Check
  3. Select the generating check button at the bottom of your browser to preview the check.
  4. If the alignment appears off, select the Printer icon.
  5. If alignment appears off, select Fit to paper from the Scale dropdown menu.
    • You can also apply a custom scale if necessary. Custom scales with a range of 93-99 typically work.
